Our focus for 2027
At Fulham United FC, we want every young player to enjoy their football, develop their ability and have the opportunity to progress as far as their ambition and potential can take them.
For 2027, we’re strengthening our junior football program and creating a clearer pathway connecting our youngest MiniRoos players through junior football and ultimately into our State League 1 senior program.
Develop better footballers. Develop better people. Create genuine opportunities to progress.

Can’t attend?
If your child cannot attend their scheduled session because of holidays, injury, illness or another reason, please contact juniors@fulhamunited.com.au so we can record this against their registration.
The Parent & Player Guide confirms that players who cannot attend should notify the club rather than simply being treated as a non-attendance.
Before You Arrive
Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before your session and check in at the registration desk.
Players should:
– Wear suitable football training clothing. Returning players should wear their Fulham United FC training kit.
– Bring a water bottle.
– Wear football boots and shin guards.
– Goalkeepers should bring goalkeeper gloves.
Please also let the club or relevant coach know about any injury, medical condition or other information that may affect your child’s participation.
What Happens at Come & Try?
MiniRoos U6–U9
Our youngest players will participate in a relaxed Come &; Try environment.
The focus is on children enjoying their football, meeting coaches and other players and experiencing Fulham United FC.
The sessions also help our coaches understand each player’s experience and development level so we can form appropriate teams and place children in an environment where they can have fun, build confidence and continue developing.
MiniRoos team placement isn’t intended to label a young player. Children develop at different rates, and our goal is to place players at a level appropriate to their development and enjoyment.
What Happens at Trials?
U10–U17
Players from U10 upwards will participate in structured trials appropriate to their age group.
Trials may include small-sided games, football activities and match play, allowing coaches to observe players in different football situations rather than making decisions based on one activity.
Most importantly: come along, work hard, enjoy your football and show us what you can do.
What are our coaches looking for?
Trials aren’t simply about identifying the “best player” on the day.
Our coaches will consider:
– Technical ability — ball mastery, passing, receiving, finishing and age-appropriate football skills.
– Game understanding — decision-making, positioning and understanding football situations.
– Attitude & effort — willingness to work, compete and positively contribute.
– Coachability — listening, learning, responding to feedback and trying new things.
– Teamwork — communicating with and supporting teammates.
– Athletic development — age-appropriate movement, coordination, agility and physical development.
– Development potential — where we believe a player can progress with appropriate coaching and support.
What Happens After Trials?
Following trials, families will be advised of the outcome as soon as practicable.
Registration or participation in trials does not automatically guarantee selection into a particular team. Our objective is to make decisions that support each player’s development while creating appropriately balanced squads.
And importantly, not being selected for a preferred team doesn’t necessarily mean the end of a player’s Fulham United journey.
Where possible, we’ll look for another appropriate team or development opportunity within the club. We want to retain and develop players wherever we can provide the right football environment for them.
ew for 2027: Fulham United FC Academy
2027 will see the launch of the Fulham United FC Academy and Futsal Program.
The Academy will provide additional development opportunities outside regular team training and will be available to all registered Fulham United FC junior players across MiniRoos, Juniors, YPL/YSL and YCC teams.
Our message to families is important:
Your child’s development at Fulham United FC will not be defined by the league or tier they play in.
Players develop at different rates. Our goal is to provide every player with an environment that challenges them, allows them to enjoy their football and gives them opportunities to continue developing.
Fulham United FC × Luis Garcia Academy
We’re partnering with Luis Garcia Academy to deliver the Fulham United FC Academy and Futsal Program.
Luis brings extensive experience across football, futsal and goalkeeper development. Originally from Brazil, he played youth football with Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and has coached in Australia for around eight years, including F-League teams, state-level goalkeepers and national youth academy environments.
His approach focuses on developing technical ability, decision-making, confidence and game understanding.
Best of all, the Academy will be available to registered Fulham United junior players at no additional cost.

One Club. One Pathway.
Our ambition is to provide a genuine pathway from junior to senior football.
We want players to see a future for themselves at Fulham United FC — from their first MiniRoos experience through junior football and, for those with the ability, attitude and ambition, towards our Reserves and Senior teams.
As players approach senior football, our U17 and U18 programs provide an important bridge into the physical, technical and tactical demands of senior competition.
